St. Johannis-Harvestehude
The organ of St. Johannis Harvestehude has been uniquely combining tradition and innovation since the restoration that took place in 2015 by the company Mühleisen.
The sound quality of the 53 stops is based on the late Romantic ideal. All preserved original pipes of Marcussen are heard in the new organ of Mühleisen. The organ also has an interface that allows an interaction between organ, electronic sound generators and computer programs. Utilizing synthesizers from the console and merging them with the organ sound or even recording and editing improvisations directly on the computer are just a few of the many possibilities offered by this system.
